Our Brothers & Sisters In Venezuela Need Your Help

Venezuela is a country on the northern coast of South America. Some of the most influential artists and designers have roots in Venezuela and South America as a whole such as Carolina Herrera, Oscar De La Renta, Maria Cornejo, Cesar Pelli, Francisco Costa, Carlos Cruz-Diez and countless others.

When we think about the beauty of fashion and style, we can not do so without the rich cultural contributions of South American countries. As we work to to give creative cultural credit to communities of color and admire traditional beauty, it's important to understand that most countries with brown populations are struggling. On one side of the spectrum we have to ask "Across cultures, darker people suffer most Why" - Andre 3000. However, on the other side of the spectrum, we have to implement action when and where we can.

Venezuela is undeniably in a state of emergency. Venezuela was one of the most prosperous countries in Latin American and over the years it has crumbled into complete chaos due to its current brutal socialist government. Citizens are literally starving while trying to mobilizing anti-government protests. The political turmoil has reached a peak and anybody watching from afar should be heart broken.
