We Discussed Some Of Our Favorite Black Sustainable Designers on HELLO BEAUTIFUL

On Tuesday August 15th, 2017 we were invited to the #HelloLive set of HELLO BEAUTIFUL for a live taping discussing all things sustainable fashion and melanin. Hello Beautiful is a News, Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty Platform for Today's Black Woman. We were elated to introduce the conversation of sustainability to communities who are both aware and unaware of how to engage in conscious style.

Chief curator, Dominique Drakeford spoke about what it means to be sustainable and shared some of her favorite black designers. It's important not only to spread the conversation to a black audience but also to ignite visibility - women of color with beautiful natural hair can stylishly be part of this movement.

Drakeford styled four live models wearing ethical brands Studio One Eighty Nine, Chan + Krys and Printed Pattern People. Moderator and HB Beauty & Style Editor Danielle Jones is wearing a hand batiked kimono by Studio One Eighty Nine and Dominique is wearing a handmade linen jumpsuit by designer Farai

We also highlighted our most recent feature in the print issue Eluxe Magazine (The Eco Travel Issue). It's extremely important to continuously show Melanin And Sustainable Style in prolific luxury sustainable fahion platforms.

We will continue to create a platform for designers of color. Here are a list of some of our other favorite black sustainable fashion designers:
