melaninASS Actress Priyanka Bose Hit The Red Carpet Looking Fierce In Sustainable Fashion
The 89th Academy Awards was full of amazing surprises but we are drooling over melninASS (Melanin And Sustainable Style) babe PRIYANKA BOSE. The Indian actress and internationally celebrated model was nominated for her role in the feature film "LION" ... and man did she step out on the red carpet sustainably fierce.

Bose wore a sequin jeweled silk and lurex custom gown by Vivienne Westwood; made from recycled fabric from a previous 2005 collection. This is a little something we like to call "upcycling"! Instead of throwing away leftover scraps, Westwood refurbished it into a brand new garment, tailoring it in way to keep waste at a minimum. The honeycomb affect was dazzling and a true mosaic of sheer beauty.

This was the first Academy Awards appearance for the young actress in which she partnered with Red Carpet Green Dress. Bose and Emma Roberts who also wore a sustainable gown - vintage Armani - made great statements that luxury fashion can and should be consciously crafted.
Red Carpet Green Dress, now in its eight year. It's a campaign started by SUZY AMIS CAMERAON and is directed by another melaninASS babe SAMATA, as a way to bring attention to sustainable practices in fashion. In order for a dress to qualify as a Red Carpet Green Dress eco-conscious garment it has to be made from recycled, organic, or repurposed materials, use handmade detailing or incorporate a natural dye process.
