Herb & Health is an Exciting Taiwanese Feminine Hygiene Brand That Just Entered The US Market

Herb & Health (HH) is a Taiwanese feminine hygiene brand that recently entered the US market. Using health conscious and environmentally-friendly ingredients, along with high manufacturing standards, HH is helping to bring healing solutions to feminine care products.

When and why did you start Herb & Health?

I was a cosmetics salesperson when I was 22, started my own business which also sold cosmetics when I was 23. The shop closed because of poor business after 4 years. I left a lot of inventory and don’t know how to deal with it. It happened to be the era when the Internet began to flourish. At the beginning, we were a seller selling major brands. This type of business has probably last for about 10 years, the biggest problem with this type of business is that the brand is not its own, and everyone is selling it. Some products are simply not profitable in order to get traffic. Then I decided to start my own brand 3 years ago, so HH was born.


How do you define sustainability?

Our brand concept is directly reflected in the two capital H’s of our brand name, which represent Herb & Health. "Herb" appealing for natural and environmentally friendly formulas, "Health" to eliminate harmful ingredients to the skin, and are committed to creating a brand that "I want to keep using it". Like no added alcohol, coloring, artificial fragrance, SLS, SLES, Parabens, etc.


Where do you source your ingredients?

Our ingredients come from Taiwan, France, the United States, etc., and have a number of EU organic certifications, patents and MSDS. We use the highest standard to manufacture each product that also have GMP and ISO9001 internationally certified.

Does your Taiwanese culture/heritage inspire or impact your brand?

Yes! HH is from Taiwan. It is a small but warm island. The most common sentence used to describe Taiwan in the world is "The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is people." Taiwanese are hardworking, enthusiastic, friendly, and honest. This is also reflected in our brand. From the packaging, there are natural plants, which makes it easy for people to get close to and like. We also sold in many countries, such as Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines. Just start in the states, hope you enjoy our brand as other countries do.

What do you find most exciting in having a wellness/beauty brand? most challenging?

It is definitely to create products you like and dream of. Sometimes it’s difficult to develop products and they require to adjustment and testing constantly. Such testing time may sometimes take up to 2 years or longer, but we insist on only making the highest satisfaction products.

In addition to continuously producing more safe and effective products and allowing more consumers to see us, we will work hard to make them more in line with society’s expectations, not only safe, effective and more environmentally-friendly. We are committed to participating in more social welfare activities, such as occasional public welfare feedback activities.

We are also promoting activities that women should "love themselves" more. In Asia and Southeast Asia, there are still many inequalities between the sexes, and women are often easy sacrifice oneself and dedicate to the family. Only after truly love yourself, will have more ability to love others.
